Welcome to Perscale, the service brought to you by Perscale, Inc. We created this Privacy Policy to let you know how we collect, use and handle information about you when you use our website, software and services (“Services”). Our Services may also include links to third-party websites, products and services. This Privacy Policy only applies to our collection and use of your information within our Services. Any linked websites, products and services of third parties, and their collection and use of your information, are governed by the privacy policies of the respective third parties. We will update and revise this Privacy Policy from time to time, so make sure to review it regularly. We will post the most recent version on our website. If an update materially changes your rights, we will notify you by posting a notice to our website or via email.
Information We Collect
Account. We collect information you provide to register an account with us such as your name, email address, phone number, address, and payment info. We also collect, and associate with your account, information about the software you select to use through our Services. Some of our Services let you access your accounts and your information with other service providers.
Services. When you use our Services, we store, process and transmit your files (and whatever stuff is in them) If you email your files to someone, we may also store the email address to make it easier for you to email the next time.
Third Party Software & Services. We make third party software available through the Services and integrate with certain third party service providers. If you choose to use these features, we may collect your credentials and related information from the third party. For example, if you choose to enable Dropbox, we will collect and store your Dropbox credentials in a hashed, protected form to enable you open, store and share files from your Dropbox account.
Log Files. When you access our Services, we automatically collect usage information such as your web request, referring/exit pages, your interaction with a service and our sites, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request, clickstream information, and other such information. We may also collect information about the device you use and your devices (depending on their settings) may also transmit location information to the Services.
Cookies and other technologies. We use technologies like cookies and web beacons (also known as clear gifs and pixel tags) to provide, improve, protect and promote our Services. For example, cookies help us with things like remembering your username for your next visit, understanding how you are interacting with our Services, and improving them based on that information. We use both session and persistent cookies. A persistent cookie remains after you close your browser and may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the Sites. These persistent cookies can be removed, but each web browser is a little different. Please review your browser’s Help menu to learn how to modify your cookies setup and how to manage your cookies. Analytics. We may use tracking and analytics tools to better understand who is using our Sites and how they are using them. With your consent or at your direction. We will share your information with third parties when we have your consent or if you have directed us to do so. For instance, you can email files to third parties or give third party applications, such as Dropbox, access to your information and account via APIs. Just remember that their use of your information will be governed by their privacy policy and terms.
Third party business partners and service providers. We use or have business relationships with certain third parties to help us provide, improve, protect, and promote our Services. We may share your information with these third parties only to perform tasks on our behalf or as reasonably necessary to deliver the Services, and we will require they comply with this Privacy Policy. For example, we may share information with software vendors who provide the software you use through the Services and we may share information with payment service providers (for processing transactions).
Legal purposes. We may disclose your information to third parties if we determine that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to (a) comply with the law; (b) protect any person from death or serious bodily injury; (c) prevent fraud or abuse of Perscale or our users; or (d) protect our rights.
Aggregated and anonymized data. We may share aggregated and anonymized data with third parties for our business purposes.
Corporate purposes. We may share your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company. We may also share your information between and among Perscale, Inc., its current and future parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and other companies under common control and ownership. If we are involved in a reorganization, merger, acquisition or sale of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that deal. We will notify you (for example, via a message to the email address associated with your account) of any such deal and outline your choices in that event.
How We Store and Protect Your Information
Storage and Processing. To provide you with the Services, we may store, process and transmit information in locations around the world – including those outside your country. We may transfer information that we collect about you, including personal information, to affiliated entities, or to other third parties across borders and from your country or jurisdiction to other countries or jurisdictions around the world. Security. We care about the security of your information and we use commercially reasonable safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of all information collected through the Services. To protect your privacy and security, we take reasonable steps (such as requesting a unique password) to verify your identity before granting you access to your account. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password and account information, and for controlling access to your email communications from us, at all times. However, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or guarantee that information on the Services may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed. Your privacy settings may also be affected by changes to the functionality of third party sites and services that you add to the Services, such as social networks. We are not responsible for the functionality or security measures of any third party.
If information under our control is compromised as a result of a breach of security, we will take reasonable steps to investigate the situation and where appropriate, notify you that your information may have been compromised and take other steps, in accordance with any applicable laws and regulations.
Retention. We’ll retain information you store on our Services for as long as we need it to provide you the Services. If you delete your account, we’ll also delete this information. But please note: (1) there might be some latency in deleting this information from our servers and back-up storage; and (2) we may retain this information if necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or for audit and archival purposes.
Your Choices
Account. You may update your account information and email-communication preferences at any time by logging into your account and changing your profile settings. You can also stop receiving promotional email communications from us by clicking on the “unsubscribe link” provided in such communications. We will process all unsubscribe requests as soon as we reasonably can. As noted above, you may not opt out of Services-related communications. Our Commitment to Children’s Privacy
Protecting the privacy of young children is especially important. For that reason, we do not knowingly collect or maintain information from persons under 13 years of age, and no part of our Sites is structured to attract anyone under 13. If we learn that personally identifiable information of persons under 13 years of age has been collected through the Services, then we will take the appropriate steps to delete this information.
